Over-compensating

Our shiny updated rocket flew well in the National Finals but reducing drag with glossy paint as well as cutting the weight down meant we had over compensated and now flew way higher than we intended! But still managed to come 5th in the country (phew!). Well done BEASTs! Here they are getting their award from the vice president of Lockheed Martin (Glory! No cash for 5th unfortunately so we had to make do with Glory and Ice-creams - but hey what more do you need on a sunny day?)

Next Mountain Group Walk

It's Snowdon again! (but we might see it this time!) See details below - it's the first Sunday after we come back from half term so I need you to let me know  are coming before our next meeting at the hut!!! 

Remember remember, the 24th of May...

... there's no regular meeting at the hut! (we have a prog remember!) but we are climbing Snowdon of Sat/Sun... I will phone those who have said they are coming to confirm kit and arrangements - if you change your mind and want to come after all - you phone me!
But if you are coming to the pedal car championship/camp, Pete will be running a pedalcar practice on 24th - see below!

Plague

Update!

All is well! Jack and Tom will run the meeting! Hurrah - how nice to have a team again! Thanks guys! Bring a head torch as it might get dark before you are safe back at the hut.

I have the plague so cannot come to PGL tonight without causing an epidemic - I'm trying to confirm whether Jack and Tom are OK to run the meeting, but if not I will have to cancel tonight's meeting. I will update as soon as I hear back so check back here.

Froot loops

Woop - must have been a tough challenge this year because BEAST qualified for the UKRoc National Finals! Hope the BEAST team can all get the day off school to compete in the UK Schools Rocketry Challenge finals in the top 20 shoot out! #educatedawayfromschool :)
