Annihilate Dragons - Zorb our Ball

A-Z in just one day!
This is the chance we've been waiting for - to test out our zorb ball in a real sunny nice have-a-go for scouts and explorers - we can be the superstars with the coolest activity! Everyone else will be making ropes, throwing hooplas, trying drums... but we have a zorb ball! Super cool us!

Meet at the Castle at 1pm and march to the quarry and them play until 4pm - be there!

Oh no - I've neglected the blog again! Just to update everyone...


No explorers tomorrow because it's the first Thursday of term when traditionally I'm unprepared...

St Georges Day Parade is on Sunday 1pm meet at the Castle - we're the biggest Explorer Unit so we need to be there - after the parade bit, there are activities in the Quarry where we have to run the explorer activity and play on everyone elses! And they've put the Explorers at the front of the parade to keep Boreatton Drum Corps company so we'd better be there! Although be warned - the District HQ guys - ever vigilant - have warned us of significant risks facing marching explorers! Beware of members of the public breaking through the ranks and walking alongside the parade!!, and also beware of raised flower beds!!! (it's OK though - they've done the risk assessment!))

Honestly  - they've organised lots of stuff so so long as its not tipping down too much it'll be fun...

This Saturday - Shropshire Archery Team to practice 1pm!
Next week - Thursday - meet as usual but check blog!

Before the end of May - we've booked our high ropes thing at Bala and need to choose a day.
We need to decide the dates for Russia!

DofE guys - you need to log on and complete your Bronze Award! Most of you have completed at lest the expediton and the skill and lots of you have done the fitness bit too, but none of you have clicked the box that makes it real! We need to be moving on to Silver and making way for the next Bronze group! (where do you want to do expeditions?)

Shooting for Shrops!

The Shropshire County Squad seems to be all from Boreatton! Hey - that's 'cos we're the only ones in the county who shoot straight! We'll be training again this summer for next years squad for the Nationals at Bisley ranges, but for now this is for those that shot well in the National Champs last year or in selection practices.Wish the squad good luck!
