Valentine's half term dofe training pancake challenge night

As the bronze DofE practice expedition date approaches (24-25 March remember!) I thought we should practice cooking a substantial supper... Just like this!



This evening always goes well... (ulp!)

I'll bring the basics, you bring some romantic edible decoration :)

here's the programme for the County Shooting tomorrow Sunday 11 February at Aldersley National Indoor Shooting Centre

9:30  Competitors and leaders arrive
10:00 - 10:15 Briefing (actually probably briefer if everyone is on time!)
10:15 - 12:30 Masterclass Coaching from NSRA County Coaches
12:30 - 13:30 LUNCH (Bring a pack lunch)
13:30 - 15:30 Shropshire County Shooting Championship
15:30 - 16:00 Medal ceremony and close.

Its time for the county shooting championships again - on Sunday 11 February! Last year we won most of the medals and we'd like to keep it that way! This year the championships will be an all day event at the National Shooting Centre at Aldersley (where the National Scout Squad practice and will be an all day event with Masterclass coaching sessions from leading coaches in the morning and the competition on the national ranges in the afternoon. I'm coordinating the competition so need to bring along a good team from Boreatton. The entry fee is £0 to cover range fees, ammo and expert coaching. Top shooters will go on to represent the Shropshire at the Intercounty, and even the UK in international competition (we have had a couple of Boreatton scouts at the Junior International)

To prepare properly we will have a training session for our unit meeting on Thursday 8 Feb at my house - Leaton Hall Rifle Range. The attached form it the entry form for the County competition but will also be used to confirm you have permission to shoot at practice sessions. Bring a signed copy of the form to take part in the training session! Ignore the entry fee - if you want to take part in the competition, the entry will be covered by subs. (Please pay subs for the term though! £35!)

I also need to know who wants to compete and I need to split the unit into two details for shooting so please complete the Eventbrite form below to choose a detail for Thursday (note the details will run 7:30-8:30 and 8:30-9:30pm) and to let me know if you do/do not want to enter the county competition!
